Hey all, thanks for hanigng in there while we got our proverbial shit together over the last few months…I think it is safe to say that things in The Universal camp are space-trucking along again. We have a fancy new rehearsal space where we can pull all-nighters every now and then, and we are playing shows again with our new guitarist Adam – (that’s him over there) who helps bring the long-missing “chunka-chunk” when we need it most – which is pretty often. He also brings the long-missing green clouds of foul smelling fart plasma, which is only slightly less desirable than the aforementioned chunka-chunk.
The new Universal website is up (as if you hadn’t noticed) – and we plan on adding tons of functionality as we go. I understand it looks a bit bare-bones right now, but I needed to get the site up so I would finally commit to doing the redesign. It’s been several months in the making and I swear I’ve redesigned it six or seven times over the last two years without ever committing to it. Until now.
Tonight (Nov 25th day before Thanksgiving) we play the neurolux with RED FANG. We have some special plans for that, and are really looking forward to it. I will be wearing my “Last Of The Juanitas” t-shirt I got from those dudes all those years ago when we played with them at the Balcony club (of all places!) Some of us may or may not be wearing pants.
So, the new site will have a photo gallery (you can still check out the old coppermine gallery here http://universalgalaxies.com/gallery but only for a little while) as I am going to completely revamp the photo section. Coming soon, each member of this band will have their own “blog” on the site – where they post about what they like. Expect lots of posts about eating tacos, running sound, playing bass, and making stinky fart clouds.
